This past weekend I decided to try and fit into size 16/40 jeans (lol I know its a bit ambitious because I'm a size 20/44, right?). I bought these as a motivater because my goal is to get down to a size 16/40 by the end of this year, because I believe that's where I will be comfortable (bonus most shops here stop making nice clothes at size 16/40 and plus size shops start making them from size 16/40 <<
ting-win). Oh if you're reading from the United States our 16/40 is equivalent to your size 14.
I have been mostly eating healthy lately (lol yes I have reached a point where I am comfortable refraining from quirky diets) and working out about 4-5 times a week, so curiosity and boredom got the better of me and I tried those darn small skinnies on. The things would always get stuck just below my bum, they were too stubborn to even attempt moving past that point where my bum begins.
Hehehe but this time they went up and I fastened them, yesssss! Can you imagine the commingling of joy, shock, pride and relief?? It was like a surprise party that my body put together for my head and heart and man was it appreciated hahahahaha ...I think I'm slowly getting into the groove of buying clothes ... before I just enjoyed looking at other plus size ladies who looked hot and confident in their clothes. So maybe one of these days I will be a fashionista of the week, just maybe... shopping spree when I reach my goal then I will feature myself as a fashionista.
So here are some of the workouts I have been alternating daily.
Being the pear that I am, I live on this workout and incorporate it with most of the others unless it is a legs rest day... Oh my goodness the lactic acid damn near made me cry like a baby!
I hate cardio but I do it beacuse all those Flora "be kind to your heart" ads got stuck with me.
Eish my arms, I have no upper body strength, but its been 2 weeks of doing this and I feel better about tackling arm workouts. I do knee pushups hahaha (just incase you were getting impressed).
I do this workout when I do not want a lot of variation because it has less moves it was the easiest to memorise.
Now this was the first workout I pinned (pinterest) and actually used, it inspired the rest of the ones you see here. First day I did this, doing 15 squat jumps at a go for me seemed crazy and impossible, but now I do them and think what the hell was so hard about this before? I hate high knees (you need a GREAT sports bra) but I loathe BURPEES, I used to struggle with just one burpee when I started and now I can do 5, I know it says 7 but im working towards that because this isnt a race, thats just a win-lose situation.
I only recently pinned this one and have done it once, I think I do the roll-ups the wrong way because my back was sore the day after. I love reverse crunches because I feel the burn in my lower abs (where I carry most of my tummy fat).. I read something that said I have a stress tummy and cardio isnt something I should focus on, becasue there is a release of cortisol during a cardio workout. I do not know how true that is but I try to mix up my cardio with strength and focus on cardio only twice a week.
This is also one of the workouts I have grown to love, alternating lunge jumps are torture to my knees and I enjoy mountain climbers so I usually do 50 instead of the 30. One day I will do PROPER lunge kicks but for now my kick sucks.
My weight stats arent the most consistant but here they are;-
1. 02 April 2013- 92kg (202.4lbs)- By the 10th of April I had only lost 1kg so I started the oats diet
2. 20 April 2013- 87kg (191.4lbs)- After finaly getting down to a size 20/44 I started eating healthy
3. 04 May 2013- 86.5kg (190.3lbs)
I will keep you posted on my progress, might just weigh myself this Saturday but it will depend on how I feel because I hate the scale.
